Tim Anderson, in to run, stole second then scored the goahead run on a pinch hit single by Trayce Thompson. Tsunamis PH Yonathan Daza led off the eighth with a single. In the seventh, Tommy Edman singled off Tsunamis reliever Collin McHugh and then proceeded to steal second, third, and home to tie the game at 22. Tsu C Sal Perez broke the tie with an RBI single in the fourth. The Tsunamis tied it in the second on a wild throw by Will Smith scoring Michael Harris II. ![]() Whatever infielder Brandon Donovan started the scoring with a solo homer in the first. Alex Bregman hit his first two homers of the season for the Whats. In Game Two, What righthander Sandy Alcantara threw complete game, a rarity in OAPBA these days. Leading the way for the Whats was Yordan Alvarez, who blasted four homers in the series, two in Game Two and two more in Game Three, including a walk-off game winner. ![]() Walt Taylor’s Whatevers surged into the OAPBA’s first half lead Sunday, July 9, taking three of four from Craig Dolan’s Tsunamis in a critical series for both teams. The series win lifted the Whats record top 19-11, one game ahead of the Tsunamis, who fell to 21-15 with only four games left on the schedule. ![]()
